Picture Day & Meet JUNE 4th

Waves Family,

It’s a big week, picture day and our next meet are almost here!

Picture Day – Wednesday, June 3
Please have all swimmers at the pool by 8:00 AM for our team photo. We’ll also be handing out t-shirts for those who registered by April 30th. Order forms are attached for picture orders, and extras will be available at the pool. All photos will be mailed directly to your home.

Swim Meet – Thursday, June 4 (vs. Fieldstone)
Fieldstone has a large team, so expect a full and exciting meet! The forecast is looking great, let’s hope it stays that way.

Coach Maria will send the heat sheet by midday Thursday.

Theme: Hawaiian
It’s Aloha time, break out the leis, grass skirts, and floral shirts.

Food Pre-Orders (Due Wednesday, June 3rd at 5 PM)

We’re offering pre-orders for Chick-fil-A and Alessio’s. These are pre-order only, no extra Chick-fil-A will be available for purchase at the meet.

Meet Timeline

  • Swimmers arrive: 4:00 PM and check in.
  • Warm-ups begin: 4:15 PM (we are the home team and go first)

Ripples

  • Mini meet starts: 5:15 PM
  • Please have swimmers on deck by 5:10 PM

Parking

  • Parking will be tight due to Fieldstone’s team size. Carpooling is encouraged if possible.
  • Park in the pool parking lot only
  • No parking at Windermere Golf Club
  • No golf carts on the grass

Volunteers

  • Check-in: Under the pavilion between 4:00–4:30 PM for both shifts.
  • 1st shift: Events #1–43
  • 2nd shift: Events #44–86 (check in early, return at Event #35 for instructions/lanyard)

Weather Plan

If weather rolls in, please do NOT leave. Most storms pass quickly and we wait for it to pass. If lightning occurs, you’ll be asked to wait in your car until the lifeguards clear the deck. All updates will come through SwimTopia—make sure you have the app downloaded.

Bullpens

Swimmer tents will be set up along the back fence of the slide pool (same as usual).

Concessions

  • Chick-fil-A and whole pizzas: pre-order only
  • Pizza by slice, hamburgers & hotdogs, snacks, candy, and drinks will be available for purchase
  • Cash or credit accepted (credit card fees apply)
  • New location: Party room attached to Windermere Lodge

Pool Rules

  • No one is allowed in the slide pool during the meet
  • No playing on the lap pool stairs
    Let’s keep things safe so we don’t have to be “those people.”

Windermere Pool Guidelines

  • Do not move or flip lounge chairs (HOA rules)
  • Bring your own chairs
  • Pavilion will be open to families, please share space with our visiting team.
