Hello Waves Family,

I wanted to share some initial information about the ASA County Championship Meet. County is always a great experience; the swimmers even get to compete in the same pool used during the 1996 Olympic Games. We would love to have as many swimmers as possible!

This year, Forsyth County will also be participating in the GRPA State Meet. The ASA County Championship serves as the qualifying meet for GRPA. I am still gathering details about the state meet, but I will need to know if your swimmer plans to attend so I can update SwimTopia accordingly.

Maria and I will be receiving additional information from ASA this week. Once finalized, including seating, volunteer assignments, arrival time, and other key details, I will share everything with you.

ASA County Championship

Date: Friday, June 26 | 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Location: Georgia Tech Aquatic Center
Reserved parking is $18. I highly recommend purchasing in advance before spots sell out: Purchase Parking Link
There is an additional lot available, but it requires a longer walk.

Declaration Deadline: Friday, June 19
This meet is run by ASA, so we will not be able to add or remove swimmers after this date.

Entry Fee: Covered by the Waves ($50 per swimmer)
Each swimmer will also receive a Waves County t-shirt. Parents will have the option to purchase one as well this year.
Note: Swimmers must have participated in at least one meet this season to compete.

Admission: Free for spectators

Awards: Ribbons are given to the top 24 swimmers in each event

Photography: Flash photography is not permitted from the stands. A professional photography company will be onsite. Reservations can be made here: River Oak Photography Reservations

Arrival: Swimmers and coaches must enter together at a scheduled time. We will meet in front of the aquatic center.

GRPA State Meet (Preliminary Information)

I am continuing to gather details and will share more soon. Here is what I have so far:

Dates: July 17^th (Prelims) | July 18^th (Finals)

Location: Boundary Waters Aquatic Center, Douglas County

Registration Deadline: June 25^th
A copy of the swimmer’s birth certificate must be submitted by July 1^st.

Practices: July 1–16 at Polo Club

Cost: $125 per swimmer
