MEET SIGN UP DUE BY 11PM ON FRIDAY, JUNE 17th. **To be guaranteed a county meet t-shirt, please sign up by Wednesday, June 15th.** 

This meet is OPTIONAL and is not required of swimmers. If your swimmer would like to participate in the meet, there is no additional fee to participate but it is a serious commitment. Swimmers may swim 2 individual events (you pick your desired events) and may possibly swim on a relay (assigned by coaches) if there are enough swimmers in their age group.

GRPA STATE MEET ELIGIBILITY: The Forsyth County Tide Team (team that represents all Forsyth County teams at the Georgia Recreation & Parks Association state meet) is anticipating to field a 2022 state team and is finalizing information for the 2022 season - the following information is based on last year's process and we will update families with the final 2022 information once we receive it. **Additional fees apply if a swimmer qualifies for the Tide team, last year's fee was $50.00 per swimmer and typically includes a team t-shirt, cap, practices and meet entry fees.**

• If your swimmer (age 7+) would like to be eligible to qualify for the GRPA State Meet at Cherokee Aquatic Center on July 22/23 to swim with the Forsyth County Tide Team, please put “Eligible for State Meet” in the Notes section on your County Meet signup. **PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A BINDING DECISION AND ENSURE YOUR SWIMMER IS ABLE TO ATTEND THE MEET ON JULY 22/23 IF SELECTED FOR THE TEAM.** 
• If your swimmer is state-meet eligible, s/he may be able to swim a 3^rd individual event (awaiting confirmation from the Tide team) at the County Meet as exhibition only (it will not count for places/awards at County) to qualify for an additional State Team individual event or relay teams. Please include any exhibition events in the Notes section as well.
• How State Team Qualification Works:  At the Forsyth County meet, the top 3 swimmers from each individual event (who declare for state eligibility) qualify for a place on the Forsyth County Tide Team. In addition, swimmers may also qualify for State Team relays only even if they do not finish in the top 3 for their individual events. Swimmers that qualify for the Tide team go to additional practices in July prior to the meet (practice location/time TBD but occurs in Forsyth County area pools).

**MEET SIGN UP DUE BY 8PM ON 5/25**

Warm-up times: 4:30pm for all swimmers 10 and under; 4:50pm for all swimmers 11 and older. Mock meet will begin around 5:15pm and will end no later than 7:30pm. 

Additional info: Swimmers will swim 25 or 50 yards (based on age group) of each stroke; 6 and under swimmers will only swim freestyle and backstroke.  Select concessions will be available for purchase to celebrate the end of the school year! Bullpen monitors for select age groups (10 & under only) and timers will also be needed so we can run the practice meet as quickly as possible. We will also be testing our timing system and (new software for this year!) at the meet so please be patient if we run into any technical difficulties. :-)
